GÖRG Partnerschaft von Rechtsanwälten mbB has advised Ufenau Fonds VII, a fund advised by Ufenau Capital Partners, on an investment in the IPP Group, a leading engineering service provider for infrastructure and energy projects based in Kiel, Schleswig-Holstein.
With its investment in IPP Group, the Swiss investor group Ufenau intends to further establish itself in the engineering services sector in the European market through organic growth. Ufenau plans to support IPP Group in expanding its range of services, recruiting of specialised staff and providing strategic support for future planning processes.
IPP Group consists of the companies IPP Ingenieurgesellschaft Possel u. Partner GmbH, Ingenieurberatung Hauck GmbH and SKL Engineering GmbH, a leading engineering group with more than 30 years of experience and around 150 employees at four premises based in Kiel, Schwerin, Hamburg and Flensburg. The group specialises in the implementation of planning and monitoring phases of critical infrastructure projects, e.g. in the areas of waterways, bridges and tunnels, as well as in the planning and monitoring of water and wastewater systems and innovative hydrogen plants.
A multi-office GÖRG team led by partner Dr. Tobias Fenck provided Ufenau with legal and tax advice on the investment. The Frankfurt-based private equity lawyer has been advising the Swiss investor group for many years, for the current fund set up in 2022 this is the third platform in northern Germany.
